New from Ming Tees . OK, another weird one. This design combines symbols i found on a long scroll in a Taoist art text. The central image is the ying and yang symbols conjoined with the seed, or the meditator in the middle, surrounded by the phases of the moon. The pair of dragons were done from an image from the public domain, as it’s way over MT’s drafting abilities. The white circle with a dot in the middle is a stylized pearl.

Ming Tees Plum Blossom Moon shirt, (first posted on this blog a few months ago) above got found and blogged by a wonderful new website called Found Handmade in a section featuring items with plum blossom designs.
Which reminded MT that this shirt design was actually scheduled for a spring makeover. So we changed what was originally lipstick red blossoms to pink, and lightened up the yellow of the moon. Not as much primary color punch maybe, but a bit more subdued and looks better on more shirt colors. Shirt with revised design at the top.

Plum blossoms bloom in winter , and Found Handmade's wintertime plum blossom feature prompted MT to take a look at our other shirts, and found no less than five of MT's own designs featuring plum blossoms. So MT needs to get out of an apparent rut and find some new blossoms, new flowers, and probably some totally new subjects altogether.
